Illiqua · What We Are
Charitable crowdfunding, reimagined around art.
Illiqua is a crowdfunding mechanism for charitable giving, built around something worth gathering around. Not a gallery, not an auction house, not an investment platform.
The Idea
Most crowdfunding asks you to believe in a number. Illiqua asks you to believe in an object, a real physical work of art, donated to a cause, staying intact and on permanent display while thousands of people each claim a small piece of its story.
When a charity donates a work to Illiqua, we don't sell it. We don't cut it up. We don't lock it in a vault. We hang it, exhibit it, and invite the world to participate in it, one certificate at a time.
Where The Money Goes
Direct, per certificate sold. Not a pledge. Routed at the point of sale.
Covers tokenization, legal structuring, wallet infrastructure, gallery space, yearly viewings, and permanent storage for every certificate.
Routed automatically on every resale via native XRP Ledger mechanics, indefinitely.
What We Do
Who We Are
Illiqua is an early-stage project built by one person who believes that art, generosity, and technology belong in the same room. We are based in Germany, operating on the XRP Ledger, and currently working through legal and charity partner clearances before a full public launch.
We entered the Making Waves Hackathon 2026 as a deliberate stress test of the full pipeline before opening to the public. The first mainnet certificate was minted on June 29, 2026. Everything you see is real and running.
About Ownership
The painting stays on the wall.
A common and completely fair question is: what do I actually own?
You own a certificate. Not a physical fragment of the artwork, not a share in a company, not a promise of financial return. A certificate is a permanently recorded, individually numbered token on the XRP Ledger that corresponds to one exact grid position on the artwork's surface.
The artwork itself will never be cut, divided, sold, or distributed. It was donated to Illiqua precisely because it has cultural value that outlasts any single sale, and our commitment to the artist, the charity, and every certificate holder is that it stays that way. The piece will be kept in proper storage, exhibited in gallery space, and made available for yearly viewings that certificate holders are welcome to attend.
Think of it less like buying a slice of a pie, and more like having your name permanently written into the story of something that matters, while the thing itself stays whole.
